It may as well be a rule book than a teaching book. The book does not intersperse examples with rules to teach. Never executed the IDE before Xilinx and had no experience with either language. My instructor had us read pages of rules, and asked us to write a program. I didn’t realize this until the very end. It’s a decent book however, the book I was sent was the international edition so some of the assigned problems from the Professor were different than the US version. Decent enough to get me through ECE This book is required for one of my classes. Book is sort of torn up pretty bad and the spine isn’t in the best shape, but since I knew it would be used going into it I can’t say I didn’t expect it. Loved the fact it comes chapter wise, also there were’nt any missing pages so it’s all ok. I bought it on my kindle, it helped a lot during the class.
